Novelist and playwright Ellen Byerrum is a former Washington, D.C. journalist, and Virginia private investigator school graduate.
Her Crime of Fashion Mysteries feature a sleuth named Lacey Smithsonian, a reluctant fashion reporter who solves crimes with ExtraFashionary Perception.
Her latest in the series, THE BRIEF LUMINOUS FLIGHT OF THE FIREFLY, is the 1940s Prequel featuring Mimi Smith, Lacey’s great aunt. Byerrum also recently published a children’s picture book SHERLOCKTOPUS HOLMES: EIGHT ARMS OF THE LAW.
Two of her books, KILLER HAIR and HOSTILE MAKEOVER were filmed for Lifetime television. She has also written a suspense thriller, THE WOMAN IN THE DOLLHOUSE.
When she craves a bit of fun, Byerrum writes ghost stories: The End of Summer is a follow-up to The Last Goodbye of Harris Turner, both of which feature reporter Cassidy James and various ghosts. She lives in Colorado with her husband in a century-old cottage.
