Welcome to the Indie Book Store

If you’re a self-published or indie author, you’re going to want to reach readers, right?

With today’s technology, it’s possible for your books and ebooks to reach people all over the world, often with just a click or a tap. But marketing is a compound effect of many different actions – and it’s also a long-game. In the same way that you sell anything, you are going to need to dedicate time and effort to selling your books. Without a dedicated marketing team behind you, you’ll have to do it yourself.

But where do you find the time to do all that?

That’s why The Indie Book Store has been created.

You can upload details of your book/s to our online store and we’ll promote it across our ever-growing social media channels. Once your book is on our site, we’ll take care of putting it in front of our own growing audience all year-round. We’ll include a live link to wherever you are selling your book.

FAQs

Who runs this site?

My name’s Patric Morgan and I’m a multi-award-winning author and blogger. You can find my personal site here.

Over the last 14 years, I have also become pretty useful at social media, with over 300,000 followers across some of the different brands I’ve created.

Putting a face to a name – that’s me on the right. We were on a cold ferry to Staten Island on our honeymoon. Awww.

I’ve published best-selling books of my own, including How My Blog Got 1 Million Visits in 7 Months but I wanted to share over 10 years of self-publishing know-how to help other writers. It’s something that I could have done with when I first set out on my publishing journey.

For my day job, I own and publish my own multi-award-winning magazines in Cardiff, Wales. And because the magazines are my own creation, I take care of all the marketing myself. I launched them in 2007 and since 2010, I’ve not had to make one cold call for advertising.

So I’m using the knowledge and experience I’ve gained over the years with promoting local businesses and I’m now heading up The Indie Book Store to help authors get their work read and to help provide an income stream for them.

Why are you charging money to promote my book?

I’d love to run the site for free but I have to pay for the software that allows me to continually promote your book/s to social media.

I also have to spend time uploading the book/s to this site and fitting them to its templates. I have to make sure that your graphics are optimised for upload and for the different social media platforms (you’d be surprised at all the different shapes and sizes you need for different social media channels!).

Ultimately, featuring on this site should only form part of your marketing strategy but I take a lot of the heavy lifting out of the promotion for you, allowing you to do what you do best.

What are your conversion rates?

I don’t offer or promise conversion rates. Sales of your book depend on so many factors, including the book’s quality, audience, seasonal influences and so on. One thing I can guarantee though is that I’ll do all I can to get your book noticed and in front of potential readers.

Disclaimer: Most links to Amazon are affiliate links, which means that we receive a very small fee from Amazon for recommending the books from them. This cost comes from Amazon itself, and not the author or those who buy the books. Revenue from these links is needed to pay for the link tracking service that we are adding to the site, which will benefit the authors.
