England 2035. Freak killer rats have overrun the country. Life is short, pitiful and dangerous. Death quick and violent. The towns and cities are no-go death zones; human society has retreated to the countryside. The only hope – take back the country. But here dwells no ordinary breed of rat. They evolve as easily as they breathe. Kill as easily as they breed.

Crossbow-wielding vigilante Caleb Vine refuses to lie down before the vermin hordes any more. He plans to take the fight to the Rat, even if the rest of the community refuses to follow him.

Caleb wants his freedom back, and he’s prepared to do anything to get it, even if it means going up against the most vicious breed of rodent to plague the Earth.
