The Zalthagor Box

Thirteen-year-old Evelyn Taylor doesn’t know why she sees disturbing visions of the future. The premonitions always predict bad news, and they always come true. Kids at school say she’s creepy and accuse her of causing accidents, and her family thinks she’s making up stories.

When her elderly great-aunt passes away, Evelyn travels to Virginia with her mom and younger brother Darby for the funeral. At her aunt’s house, Evelyn hears a chilling disembodied voice, and sees puzzling visions of a little girl from the past. Tales of a mysterious family tragedy convince her that an evil presence is lurking inside an old wooden box. Ignoring Evelyn’s desperate warnings, her mother opens the box and becomes possessed by Zalthagor, a vengeful demon that wants Darby as a blood sacrifice to settle an ancient debt.

Evelyn realizes her visions must be the key to saving her brother’s life and freeing her family from the demon’s grip.
